Anders Åslund, an internationally acclaimed researcher and debater in Russian, Ukrainian and Eastern European political economy gets Stockholm Free World Forum as his base.
– It is with great honor that Stockholm Free World Forum can announce that Anders Åslund will have the think tank as his base. This means that SFWF can further develop expertise and knowledge about the prerequisites for Swedish and European security, says Gunnar Hökmark, Chairman of SFWF.
Anders Åslund looks forward to have SFWF as his base:
– I am pleased to once again work closely with a Swedish institution and I have had a good collaboration with SFWF over the years, since SFWF works with the questions and stands for the values which I myself stand for.
SFWF’s acting Director Emanuel Örtengren welcomes Anders Åslund.
– Åslund has a great insight into the Kremlin’s corruption and how it undermines not only the Russian society and former Soviet states, but also Western democracies. The fact that he will now have SFWF as his base means a great addition to the Swedish debate on these questions.
