On Tuesday May 26th, Frivärld/Stockholm Free World Forum and KAS Nordics hosted a breakfast talk with Dr Jana Puglierin, who presented her new book Who will defend Europe? The conversation came against the backdrop of the security situation in Europe and ongoing developments in European security policy and NATO.
Dr Jana Puglierin is a senior policy fellow and head of the Berlin office at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), specializing in German and European foreign, security, and defence policy. Over the course of her career as a researcher, Bundestag adviser, and think-tank leader, she has become a prominent media commentator and author.
The discussion was moderated by Anna Rennéus Guthrie, Director of Frivärld. Additional remarks were made by Frivärld’s chairperson Gunnar Hökmark.
The event was the latest in a long line of collaborations between Frivärld and KAS Nordics. The two organisations have repeatedly joined forces on questions of European security, most recently on the anthology Russia’s Hybrid War: The Northern Front, which featured a foreword by Christine Leuchtenmüller, Head of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Nordics, and an afterword by Gunnar Hökmark.
