On April 17, Katarina Tracz, director of the Stockholm Free World Forum, will participate in a panel discussion at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Johns Hopkins University, SAIS, in Washington, D.C. The theme of the event is Nordic- Baltic Security. Among the questions that will be discussed are: How did the Baltic Sea rise to become one of the topmost subjects in transatlantic security discussions? Why should the defense of the region be a priority for the U.S. and NATO? How can countries in the region act to stop the situation from deteriorating further?
In addition to Katarina Tracz, John Herbst, Director, Dinu Patriciu Eurasia Center at the Atlantic Council, Steven Pifer, Senior Fellow at the Center on the United States and Europe and Director of Arms Control Initiative at the Brookings Institution and Johan Raedar, Defense Advisor at the Swedish Embassy in Washington, D.C will be participating in the seminar. The discussion will be moderated by Ambassador András Simonyi, Managing Director for the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
