During the visit, which coincided with the celebration of Taiwan’s Independence and National Day as well as ongoing Chinese military exercises, she experienced a tense yet simultaneously positive and hopeful atmosphere.
The episode discusses Taiwan’s strong and well-developed democracy, how Taiwanese experts and politicians view the threat from China, and how the free world can take action and adopt a more proactive stance to support Taiwan’s fight for independence and deter China from invading the country.
