Katarina Tracz has been working at the Stockholm Free World Forum (SFWF) since its start in 2011. She has wide experience of foreign and security policy analysis, focusing particularly on security in the Nordic-Baltic region. She is an active contributor to the debate on foreign and security policy in Swedish and international media, and has published several reports, articles and OP-EDs in major Swedish newspapers. Besides working for SFWF, she is an International Research Fellow at the McCain Institute for International Leadership in Washington DC, USA.
– In a short time, Katarina Tracz has established herself in the Swedish foreign policy debate as well as in important international networks. As director, she will increase the presence of SFWF both inside and outside Sweden. Katarina will also make important contributions to the Swedish debate on how to manage the increasingly insecure situation in the Nordic-Baltic region as well as increased protectionist tendencies, says Karin Svanborg-Sjövall, CEO of The Swedish Free Enterprise Foundation.
– With several ongoing conflicts globally and an increasingly dangerous situation in the Nordic-Baltic region, SFWF has a more important role than ever to play. I am looking forward to further developing the work of SFWF at a time when foreign- and security policy issues matter more than in long, says Katarina Tracz.
Katarina Tracz, who is currently working on a coming book on Nordic-Baltic Security, takes up her duties as director of the SFWF on the 1st of March 2015. She succeeds Stefan Olsson.
