On January 31st, Stockholm Free World Forum, in collaboration with KAS Nordics, hosted a breakfast seminar centered around Nordic-Baltic security cooperation. The seminar featured a discussion on the report United We Stand, authored by Patrik Oksanen, Resident Senior Fellow at Stockholm Free World Forum and Gunnar Hökmark, Chairman of Stockholm Free World Forum.
As the discussion unfolded, the panel covered a range of interconnected topics. Noteworthy highlights included a pressing emphasis on the imperative for enhanced collaboration within the NB8, underscoring the vital role of collective efforts. Moreover, the multifaceted challenges confronting the Nordic-Baltic region in the near future were discussed, providing valuable insights into the complexities that demand strategic attention and cooperation. Importantly, there was a unanimous consensus among panel members regarding the crucial need to continue and strengthen support for Ukraine.
The panel included, in addition to the authors of the report, Mr. Linas Linkevicius, Ambassador-at-Large of Lithuania to Sweden, Janne Jokinen, Deputy Head of Mission at the Finnish Embassy in Sweden, and Gabriele Bauman, Director of KAS Nordics. The conversation was moderated by Anna Rennéus Guthrie, Director of Stockholm Free World Forum.
