Webinar: A Democratic Belarus’s Relations with the EU

Across eastern Europe, citizens are demanding democracy. Frightened by this change in people’s moods, autocrats like Alexander Lukashenko are taking increasingly violent measures to suppress protests and to threaten the EU.

Now, plans have to be made for the future relations between a Democratic Belarus and the EU, writes Andrius Kubilius, MEP (EPP) and former PM of Lithuania in a new policy brief for Stockholm Free World Forum. Among other things, he argues for a Marshall Plan for investment and ambitious reforms of the EU’s Eastern Partnership policies.

The webinar will be live streamed on Stockholm Free World Forum’s Facebook page.

Participants:

Andrius Kubilius, MEP and former PM of Lithuania.

Franak Viačorka, Advisor to Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya
