Mrs. Anna Rennéus Guthrie is the Director of think tank Stockholm Free World Forum. The European identity of Sweden, as well as Sweden’s role in the world as defender of freedom and democracy, are areas that she is passionate about. During the past 15 years, she has worked as a journalist and opinion leader within politics and business related issues. As a seasoned editor and opinion former, Mrs. Rennéus Guthrie has had an impact on the social and political debate in Sweden. A firm believer that the world needs more of market economy, free media and freedom of expression and thought. During recent years, she has participated more actively in the debate on foreign influence and raised concerns about the development where large parts of the West, including Sweden, not least through business relationships, have become a target for authoritarian regimes. Mrs. Anna Rennéus Guthrie, BA, is educated at Edinburgh University, Stockholm University, Södertörn University (International Master’s Programme Journalism) and has participated in senior level education (Senior Course on Security Policy in Europe) at the Swedish Defence University.
