Gunnar Hökmark, Chairman of Frivärld, and resident senior fellow Patrik Oksanen write in the Finnish newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet about Finland’s central role in uniting and strengthening our part of the world. This is highlighted in the new report “Time Is Up – Santa Is in a Snowstorm“, which emphasizes that Finland is currently one of the most prepared countries in the region.
“Finland can contribute to the defense of the Nordic region’s many soft spots. Above all, capabilities need to be developed much more rapidly in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, which are lagging behind the front-line states. Here, Finland can make a significant contribution that will also enhance Finland’s own security.”
