On October 3, Stockholm Free World Forum (Frivärld) celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Foreign Policy Academy, one of Sweden’s leading programs for the next generation of foreign and security policy experts and decision-makers.
The Foreign Policy Academy is a selective one-year program in which participants deepen their knowledge through lectures by leading experts and international study visits, while gaining unique opportunities to meet and network with senior policymakers in Sweden and abroad.
The 10th anniversary celebration brought together current participants and alumni , as well as key figures involved in the Academy’s founding and development over the past decade, including former Frivärld directors Katarina Tracz and Stefan Olsson. Speeches were given by, among others, Frivärld’s Director and Rector of the Academy, Anna Rennéus Guthrie; Frivärld’s Chairman, Gunnar Hökmark; and Ukraine’s Ambassador, Svitlana Zalishchuk.
Nearly 200 participants have graduated since the Academy’s founding. Upon completion of the program, participants become part of a vibrant alumni network, with opportunities to take part in seminars, conferences, and special alumni events.
