Breakfast Seminar: Assessing our capabilities in resisting hybrid threats

On December 8, 2016, Stockholm Free World Forum and the Swedish Atlantic Council arranged a seminar with Dan Hamilton, co-author of a new report on hybrid threats. The report, authored by security policy experts on both sides of the Atlantic, describes how NATO and the EU can strengthen their capabilities to identify, respond to and manage different kinds of hybrid threats against important civic functions.

Anna Wieslander, general secretary for the General Defense Association and director for Northern Europe at the Atlantic Council, provided comments on the report. Katarina Tracz, director of Stockholm Free World Forum, moderated the seminar.

Dr. Hamilton is the Executive Director of the Center for Transatlantic Relations at John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C. He has a long background as a security policy analyst and has previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs as well as Deputy Head of Policy Planning at the State Department.
