Gunnar Hökmark new chairman at Stockholm Freeworld Forum

Stockholm Freeworld Forum recruits Gunnar Hökmark as new chairman. Along with SFWF’s CEO Katarina Tracz he will lead the development of the foreign political think tank.

– Outside the framework of traditional policy, we also need a forum concerning Sweden’s role in the world regarding democracy, freedom and prosperity. I am excited to be part of and lead SFWF’s successful development as this type of actor, says Gunnar Hökmark.

Gunnar Hökmark succeeds Mats Johansson, who were chairman of SFWF until his sudden passing in june 2017.

Gunnar Hökmark is a Swedish politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP). He is member of the Moderate Party. He previously served as Secretary of the Moderate Party from 1991 to 1999 and Member of the Riksdag (MP) for Stockholm County from 1982 to 2004, and vice Chairman of the EPP Group, the largest group in the European Parliament.
