On September 11th, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Nordic Countries and Impact Europe hosted the panel discussion “After the European Elections 2024: Assessing the European Parliament’s New Power Dynamics and Its Policy Implications” — a conversation about the shifting landscape of European politics following the 2024 elections. Among the panelists was Gunnar Hökmark, chair of Stockholm Free World Forum.
The seminar provided valuable insights into Europe’s foreign and security policy, the ongoing support for Ukraine, and the EU’s engagement in the Arctic, featuring perspectives from senior Swedish and German policymakers and experts. The panelists explored shared issues between Germany and Sweden, as well as lessons from each other’s national experiences.
The evening also served as an opportunity to bid farewell to Gabriele Baumann who has led the KAS Nordic Countries office in Stockholm since 2019. Stockholm Free World Forum extends its gratitude to Gabriele Baumann and the KAS Nordic Countries for their dedicated cooperation and wish Gabriele continued success in her new role in Vilnius.
