Stockholm Free World Forum arranges round table discussion on populism

On February 6, 2017, Stockholm Free World Forum arranged “Modern Populism Across the Atlantic”, a round table discussion on populism in America and Europe. Sean Trende, political analyst and expert on American populism, opened the seminar with a brief background on American society and how it can explain the results of the presidential election. Andreas Johansson Heinö, political scientist and author of Timbro’s Authoritarian Populism Index (2016), responded and compared European and American populism.

Sean Trende is a political analyst at RealClearPolitics and the author of the book “The Lost Majority: Why the Future of Government Is Up for Grabs and Who Will Take It”. He has a juris doctor and master’s degree in political science from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree from Yale University.

Andreas Johansson Heinö is Head of Publishing at Timbro and has a Ph.D in political science from the University of Gothenburg.
