Knowledge about cybersecurity is increasingly important. As cyberattacks on democratic countries are becoming more frequent, the necessity to enhance the resistance of critical systems in the public and private sector is growing. There is a need to further discuss how both the private and public sector can build resilience and increase its readiness and how cyber technologies can be used in order to protect critical infrastructure.
Is the West prepared to tackle the growing issue of cybersecurity? How can governments use cybersecurity technologies to prevent and respond to cyberattacks on critical infrastructure? And how can cooperation between governments and private sector entities be improved in order to form an adequate respond to the cyber challenge?
These are some of the topics that will be discussed during an exclusive roundtable event at the Stockholm Free World Forum (Frivärld) on Friday 31st of August. The event will be visited by Mr. Michael Chertoff, co-funder and executive chairman of the Chertoff group and former Secretary of U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Assistant Attorney General of the United States.
